I don't know if anyone has ever thought of this yet (although if they have, I'd probably have heard it somewhere by now...) The perfect piece of mass-produced Doctor Who memorabilia for the annoying person in your life.

It's a little black cube, about three or four inches in each direction.

It contains a little chip, a little speaker, and a big space for batteries.

Once it's activated, it plays the "Chicken Dance" until either (1) the unfortunate owner figures out how to turn it off, or (2) its batteries run flat.

Instructions on how to turn it off are not included in the packaging...

{Chuckle} That sounds like it could be very amusing or very annoying, depending on who you're talking to, and how good they are at figuring out how to turn things off. {SMILE}

It's with particular reference to this scene in the Doctor Who episode "The Power of Three".

(Careful when clicking on the link; at one point you hear a snippet of one of the most annoying pieces of music of all time).

{Chuckle} That is something. Fortunately, The gal in the clip closed the door quickly. {Smile}

There was a little old lady we used to folk dance with, back when I could still dance. Most of the dances she liked were pretty fun. Unfortunately, she also loved The Chicken Dance. So when I think of The Chicken Dance, I remember her voice not quite drowning that music out with "...A cheep cheep cheep, clap clap clap, wiggle wiggle wiggle, and a flap flap flap. Cheep cheep cheep, clap clap clap, wiggle wiggle wiggle, and a flap flap flap..." because she did feel she had to call it over and over and over and over... Dad quickly got to where he hated the dance as much as you hate the song. I'm far from fond of it myself; it made me feel entirely too ridiculous! {Wry Smile}

When I saw this web page:

it reminded me of your post. You're not the only one thinking of Dr Who memorabilia.

(I don't think I'd want a Weeping Angel Barbie. Its presence in the house would creep me out.)

That's neat.

I've already got enough potential Weeping Angels in the house as it is. Now that the Statue of Liberty has been revealed as one of them, and in the spirit of "what bears the image of an Angel becomes an Angel", I'm worried what's going on in the shoebox of yet-to-be-sorted-out old American stamps because I'm fairly sure there are a couple of envelopes of old three cent Statue of Liberty stamps amongst them...

Now wait until 20 minutes before bedtime, and start thinking about those stamps...
