... generally with a bit of help.

On Boing Boing: a Steampunk Dalek. Now all it needs is a winch so it can finally make it up the stairs...

On Neil Gaiman's blog: Neil would like to hear Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre arranged for banjo and clarinet. This being the internet, there have probably been three different versions already performed, recorded, digitised, uploaded and emailed to him within the last day or so.

Via foenix's searching skills: one of my favourite late `eighties / early `nineties sit-coms. For a show that ran seven seasons (at least three of which I'm sure never screened down here) it's fiendishly obscure, and by the very nature of its name it's impossible to search for using normal Internet search tools (which is why I gave up trying years ago). The site isn't really all that wonderful - it doesn't even have a links page! - but it seems to be all there is. Now all that is needed is for (1) the show to be released on DVD in the civilised world, and (2) me to figure out which episodes some of the funniest quotes - Do you like my coat hanger? I made it myself from an old car aerial, or Oh, look. A hooded crow - were from.
