In case anyone is wondering: no, I didn't delete my journal yesterday. I just made the entries private and set all the colours to #000000. This was all part of a protest against section 92A of the Copyright Act, which requires internet providers to disconnect customers upon receipt of an unsubstantiated allegation of copyright infringement.
This isn't about piracy or anything. This is about due process, and the presumption of innocence.
The good news is, the implementation of this section of the Act has been delayed for a month.
And if anyone has a problem with the internet, they should reflect upon the fact that without the Internet, there would be one fewer Headless Chickens CDs in California, one fewer Look Blue Go Purple CDs in Florida, and one fewer Able Tasmans CDs in Canada.
