|New Zealand Music Month - Day 6

Today, for a change, here's something by a band of youngsters who are still a band of youngsters. (Well, for values of the variable "youngster" which include "still older than half the people reading this"...)
Steriögram (complete with mis-spelling and occasional metal umlaut) are, according to Wikipedia, Tyson Kennedy - vocals; Tim Youngson - guitar; Brad Carter - guitar, vocals; Jared Wrennall - drums, vocals; Jake Adams - bass. This particular song of theirs, Walkie Talkie Man, seems to have got everywhere... it wasn't so surprising to see it on TV advertising lager, but I was rather surprised to see it on one of the American cartoons the younger generation were watching last Christmas.
The song is available on their round bit of plastic pretending to be a CD, "Schmack". However, it's not a real CD and therefore won't play on my CD player (you have been warned).
This video may also be of interest to those who were amused by the "knitted plushies" scene in the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie. You know who you are. And, lastly, embedding doesn't work on this one: you have to go to You Tube to see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xP4YOlH49tg&feature=fvst ...
... never mind, a bit of a hunt around You Tube brought up a video which isn't disabled. Enjoy:
