New Zealand Music Month - Day 25

Alan Jansson is internationally infamous for being one of the team behind the Otara Millionaires' Club's huge international pop hit How Bizarre, but his best work was as part of The Body Electric over a decade earlier. Their first single, Pulsing, was a quite unexpected chart hit: despite its inherent weirdness (looking back on that first single I'd say they were influenced as much by Devo as by anyone else) it camped out in the Top 20 for what felt like months at the time.

The group when this single were recorded were Alan Jansson, Andy Drey and Gary Smith; all on synthesizers and stuff like that. The video isn't that wonderful (and only contains about half the song) but it's definitely... not like anything much else.
