Some of you may remember the series of events that caused me to need to get myself a Facebook account.

The same series of events, fairly much, has now necessitated that I finally sign up to this bloody Tweeter thing that everybody's been twitting about. Or whatever.

This Tweeter isn't going to have anything interesting or personal on it but if anyone is really all that interested in the inconsequentialities of life in Darkest Invercargill they're welcome to pop in and annoy me on it at http://twitter.com/Dave9840 .

Your best bet is to behave as if anything you've ever written on the 'tubes is publicly searchable.

... I see I have created a monster. *Dusts off hands and does his best Evil Genius smirk.*

The only stuff I've done that I've got any real desire to keep a copyright of are my novels (which are only visible on LJ and then only to friends who've at least implied they'd be interested and that I'd trust with them), and my on-line catalogue (which I'm doing under a Creative Commons licence. I've got a rather odd setting - commercial use welcome but derivative works prohibited - but that's mainly so that anyone can use the numbering system, even in a professional context; and that I have sole control over the numbering, so that the numbering can be relied upon).

As for my facebook: Anything that's on my facebook is either a link to something somewhere else, or one of the banalities of everyday life in Invercargill. Zuckerberg and co. can read about the Saga of the Bomb Site to their little hearts's content.
